Injection Press Operator

To operate an injection molding rubber press and to produce quality molded rubber products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to work on time
• Report to press on time and remain at press throughout shift
• Operate an injection press
• Have a working knowledge of press movements
• Read, understand, and follow written instructions for daily job assignments
• Remove all molded parts from the press
• Trim excess rubber off parts
• Inspect parts produced for defects
• Meet or exceed production standards
• Remove old labels from all returnable packaging
• Label and package all finished goods
• Track all raw material, production results, and scrap produced
• Keep workstation clean and organized

Physical Demands:

• Stand for long periods of time (7+ hours)
• Walk
• Use hands and fingers, handle and feel
• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift between 10 and 50 lbs

Vision Requirements:

• Close vision (less than 20 in)
• Distance vision ( more than 20 ft)
• Peripheral vision
• Depth perception
• Ability to adjust focus
• Normal Color Vision

Environment Exposure:

• Working near moving mechanical parts
• Fumes and/or airborne particles
• Extreme heat (non-weather)
• Vibration
• Loud noise

Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Experienced Maintenance Personnel

To perform general maintenance and repairs to company property and equipment, including hydraulic presses. Also, to construct secondary machinery and fixtures.

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to operate a Diefenbacher Hydraulic Press
• Must own tools and a rolling tool box
• Must have completed trade school classes in electronics and/or hydraulics
• 5+ years experience in a similar maintenance position
• 3-5 years experience in reading electronic/hydraulic blueprints or schematics
• Have forklift license

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be to work on time
• Follow all safety and shop rules
• Have a working knowledge of press movements
• Have a working knowledge of press set up
• Have a working knowledge of plant operations
• Maintenance of the buildings and facility
• Responsible for clean up of work area
• Organization of maintenance area
• Change molds in presses when needed
• Preventive maint. of hydraulic presses (oil changes, greasing, filter changes, etc.)
• Machine repair with minor to no supervision
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems
• Minor welding and tool building
• Read blueprints and schematics
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on secondary equipment and fixtures
• Construct secondary equipment
• Inform supervisors of unsafe work condition
